About the Role:
About the Role:
This is a multifaceted role requiring someone who has good attention to detail, able to stay cool under pressure and confident speaking with groups of people.
We don't expect you to be a wiz straight off the bat, we will provide training on the job for all of the required tasks. The most crucial thing is you have the ability to forge memorable experiences for our customers!
Paintball is seasonal. In the off season we can guarantee a shift every Saturday that could vary from 5 to 8 hours and occasional extra days varying between 5 to 8 hours to either run sessions or perform maintenance on the field or equipment. During peak season we'd be looking at 2 to 4 days a week.
This role would be suitable for anyone wanting just a few days a week around other commitments, could be ideal for a student that is available weekends with some occasional weekday flexibility and wanting extra work over summer break.
This is an amazingly fun job that is usually not too stressful, however you will need to be switched on, be able to keep a group engaged and energised, be able to adapt your approach to suit the customers you have, be fast to react to any safety concerns, be able to calm nerves of anxious people and be able to keep potentially overexcited/rowdy customers in check.
You will need to be comfortable with being hit by the occasional stray paintball and be in close proximity to customers during live fire.
Tasks will include:
Setting up for groups - filling pods, setting up goggles, guns and putting away laundered overalls, cleaning bathrooms and general tidy up of facilities.
Greeting and checking in customers - Greet customers when they arrive, explain waivers and check in process before checking the group in, taking any remaining payments and handing out their player equipment.
Running games - confident, loud and clear safety brief, game briefs, monitoring enjoyment and safety during play and reacting to any concerns quickly, cleaning paint hits off lenses, handing out additional paint and refilling air tanks as required.
Cleaning up after games - washing guns, goggles and harnesses, retrieving pods from the playing field and general tidy up,
Serving drinks - once games have finished the bar will be open, especially popular for bucks groups!
If you want a few more hours, we can add in some additional duties like mowing the field and weed spraying to your regular duties.
Although you won't need these immediately, you will need the following, bonus points if you already any of them:
(the business is happy to cover the cost of acquiring any needed certificates for a long-term employee)
Provide First Aid
Provide CPR
Cat A6 Gun licence
