FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The minimum age to play paintball in Tasmania is 16 years.
We need at least 6 people to proceed with a session.
If you have less than 6 people, including just yourself, you can still submit a booking enquiry through our booking software. If there is already more than 6 people, you can confirm immediately. If there is less than 6 people, your request will stay pending until the session has enough people.
2 to 2.5 hours
A 10.30am booking should finish around 12.30.
Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your booking.
We provide full body overalls that go over any clothes you're wearing. So, we suggest shorts and a t-shirt are generally ideal to prevent yourself from overheating.
Definitely wear sturdy, fully enclosed footwear. Boots or sneakers are best! If it has been raining, wearing cleats is a good idea! (if you have them)
Do not wear open shoes like thongs or sandals and don't wear heels. If you don't have appropriate footwear, you won't be able to play.
It stings a little bit. It's not too bad though.
The first time you get shot is always the worst!
Yes you can (but they are likely to fog)
If you have particularly large glasses, the mask might squash your glasses into your face and become uncomfortable.
If you have contacts, we recommend wearing them.
Yes and no.
It depends on the person as to whether you'll get paintball bruises.
Some people bruise easy, others don't.
To help minimise paintball bruises, we have a 5-metre minimum distance rule.
Yes, you can! We have a courtyard with a BBQ, perfect for birthdays, bucks, hens, and work events. You handle the party, and we'll take care of the paintball.
We offer a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. While we don't sell substantial food items, you can bring your own and use our BBQ in the courtyard.
Yes, we do, we accept all major bank cards.
Please note we do pass on our card processing fees and an additional 1.7% surcharge applies for card payments.
We do also accept cash payment.
You can request/reserve a booking without a deposit, but it will not be confirmed until the deposit is received.
Arrive a few minutes prior to your booking time.
e.g., if booked in for 10.30, arrive around 10.15 to 10.25.
Please don't be late, you may have other groups immediately behind you.
Hobart Paintball is open by booking only.
90% of our bookings are on the weekend.
At least 24 hours notice is generally required for weekends.
For weekdays a week or more is preferred to organise staff.
Our base model guns are great, but the upgraded ones offer better accuracy, ease, speed, and range. You'll use more paintballs with the upgrade, so be ready for the extra cost.
Our 3 golden rules of playing paintball are:
1. Wear your goggles
2. Keep your barrel bag on
3. Don't shoot someone any closer than 5 metres.
We certainly have a lot more rules around safety and then rules for each game, but those are the 3 must follow paintball rules.
